Unifi New Residential 30Mbps and 50Mbps Plans

unifi-logo2These days, everything from working culture to daily lifestyle has to be fast and efficient. The same principle also applies to the internet. At present, our highest internet speed in Malaysia clocked at 20Mbps and frankly, it’s still not fast enough to satisfy most of the demanding users. This is especially true for those who constantly stream high-definition videos on YouTube at either 720p or 1080p, or download heavy files such as movies that usually stretched more than few gigabytes.

Realising today’s ever-growing demand of broadband connection, TM Unifi has recently unveiled a brand new plan that comes with two speedier options of 30Mbps and 50Mbps. The 30Mbps connection is priced at RM210.94 per month inclusive of GST. In addition to the internet, the package also allows you to select a TV Pack of HyppTV Aneka, Ruby or Varnam. Alternatively, there is a package upgrade under HyppTV Jumbo Pack which contains more variety channels such as BBC Entertainment, Fox Crime HD, MTV Live HD, WarnerTV HD, BBC Lifestyle, Al Jazeera and Astro SuperSport HD. The upgrade is priced at RM242.74 per month.

For those who are looking for the fastest internet speed available in Malaysia, there’s a 50Mbps plan priced at RM263.94 (Aneka/Ruby/Varnam pack) and RM293.74 (Jumbo Pack) per month. The RM263.94 50Mbps package is considered a sweet deal, especially the existing VIP 20Mbps plan happened to cost at the same price but with lower values.

While the 30Mbps and 50Mbps may sound like an awesome deal for the internet-hungry users, the major gripe about the new TM Unifi plans is that it is only applicable to these limited numbers of residential locations – Bangsar, Kepong, Menara TM, Damansara Utama, Duta, Puchong, Serdang, Shah Alam, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and USJ Taipan. The aforementioned locations are only eligible for new subscribers only. However, existing TM Unifi subscribers are not qualified for an upgrade while the 50Mbps plan is currently restricted to low-rise buildings.
