The introduction of 6% GST in Malaysia is making most citizens in Malaysia feeling the pinch than they already are. Enter Celcom’s FIRST Basic 38 Plan, a new postpaid plan aimed to cater to local Internet users seeking for higher data value at an extremely affordable price. In addition to that, Celcom’s FIRST Basic 38 Plan has been receiving tremendous response among many users since its introduction in April 29, 2015.
So what makes Celcom’s FIRST Basic 38 Plan such a phenomenon? First off, there was a month-long promotion occurred from May 1 till May 31, 2015 where users get to enjoy 3GB of Internet for just RM40.30 per month after 6% GST. On top of that, the promotion also includes an additional 3GB of Wi-Fi for a limited time period.
Even after the promotion has already ended, Celcom’s FIRST Basic 38 Plan is still considered a great deal, especially for heavy Internet users. By default, users get a 2GB of Internet + 2GB of Wi-Fi. Apart from that, users will also get 50 minutes of calls and 50 SMS to all networks.
Celcom has also introduced two more postpaid plans exclusively for business users. There’s the FIRST Basic 38 with Business Circle (priced at RM48 per month excluding 6% GST) where users get to enjoy the same benefits (internet, calls and SMS), as well as an additional feature
Meanwhile, users who also run their own SMEs and businesses can choose to convert their existing FIRST Basic 38 Plan with additional features. Here, the add-on features are divided into two categories: 50 hours of calls within office colleagues with Business Circle at RM10 (totaling at RM48 per month excluding 6% GST), and Unlimited Calls & SMS to all Celcom numbers with Business Unlimited at RM50 (totaling at RM88 per month excluding 6% GST).
